Very cold weather, the temperature this morning was 17.1 degrees, reaching a high of 27.0 at 2 PM and as of this writing the temperature is 10.0 degrees. However they windchill may cause it to feel as if it is –5.0 degrees. (I don’t understand the concept of windchill- in fact my report word processing unit doesn’t recognize it as a word either so I will probably refrain from using it in the future.)
Very clear cold blue sky, the stars are twinkling and appear very crisp.
Please note on the photographic evidence: I apologize for the poor photograph quality however I found the singular cloud in the sky fascinating- and it somewhat shows the twinkling of the lights in the houses in the far distance.
Also the family welcomed back into their home another family member. The eldest son has arrived from his knowledge infusion isolation habitat to help celebrate the Christmas-Holiday-Festival Season.

I will post my next report tomorrow.

Well it seems Montana is known for its wild weather.
At 7 AM this morning the weather was clear and temperature was 48.1. Then with no warning what so ever by 8:30 AM the temperature had dropped to 33.0 degrees and it was snowing heavily. The wind was blowing and it was a blizzard condition. In less then an hour 2 inches of heavy wet snow fell with high winds from the north. Then the snow and wind stopped by 10 AM and then it stayed overcast and cold all day.
The high was 52.1 at 5 AM this morning. Amazing the change weather can cause.
The bit of snow that melting during the few hours it was above freezing has now frozen solid leaving quite dangerous driving conditions. A of this writing the temperature is now 21.6 degrees.
This just shows that one should never become comfortable with the weather. And it also appears that an ancient archaic chant can work wonders when applied correctly. I hesitate to say the words again so I will just urge you to consult my last report if you are unfamiliar with what I am speaking of.
My new pupil was delighted with the change however. I did assure her in time the thrill wear off- however I am pleased with her youthful enthusiasm.

I will post by next report tomorrow.

41.1 degrees this morning, reaching a high of 45.0 degrees at 2 PM. As of this writing the temperature is 36.0.
Windy, overcast and then rain started early this evening. As of this writing the rain has stopped- yet I am assuming it will continue on and off through the night.
The drivers seem happy that the weather is warm enough to keep the rain from freezing on the roads causing safer driving conditions.
It seems everyone is wishing for snow however and I seem to hear the song “I’m Dreaming Of A White Christmas” very often.
The family set up their Christmas-Holiday-Festival-Tree. The lights from it are now shining on the front yard quite prettily.
I would also like to introduce you to my newest partner, ‘The Weather Rockette’ She is in training right now and won’t be making her own reports until she has finished her instruction period. I am looking forward to sharing my knowledge and guidance with a new student.

I will post my nest report tomorrow.

One word to describe today’s weather.
Windy.
It was very very windy all day, constant wind with hard gusts from the west all day. The two youngest left briefly, making a mad rush to the car. At least the two were smart enough to open the car doors 1 at a time. The driver got in a quickly shut the door and the passenger followed. I have seen not so clever people try to open the doors at the same time, often causing the car doors to fly open with the sudden change in pressure at arm jarring speeds. (yes the wind was blowing that much)
They returned an hour later and parked left of their normal spot trying to use the house as a shield. They opened the trunk and were in the process of removing unknown items in plastic carry bags when the trunk was blown down onto the young mans head. Luckily he was wearing a cranium protection device so no injury was sustained.

34.1 degrees this morning, reaching a high of 50.0 at 5 PM this afternoon. As of this writing the temperature is 42.4.
The wind coupled with the heat has caused almost 100% of the snow to melt.
Dark clouds with sudden bursts of bright clear blue sky made for a very dramatic day.
It is still windy and who knows what tomorrow will bring.

I will post my next report tomorrow,

The weather started cold at 24.9 this morning, reaching 44.1 at noon. The temperature started dropping, and it dropped ten degrees yet in the past hour the temperature had risen drastically. As of this writing the temperature is 42.1.
The only snow that is left is mostly in the shade. The roads have dried, and although it is technically ‘warm’ it feels quite chilly. Windy and gusty all day. The snow is very, very crunchy and has a plastic like sheen to it.
The animal tracks are in the process of melting out leaving large crater like shapes in the ground reveling the still green grass underneath.
There are dark clouds forming to the west yet unless the temperature drops we may experience rain.
It appears the guest has departed and returned to his home, the family seems very quiet today. And I must admit I do miss his daily walks past my station.

I will post my next report tomorrow.

I was startled this morning by the frantic rushing of the family leaving the house quite early and obviously in a hurry. Then they stayed away most of the day returning at 3:30 PM and then leaving not ten minutes later. They were gone until 6:20 PM and again not ten minutes later they were gone until 8:15 PM. As of this writing they are in the house and I think they are there for the night. It seems to be the last day with their guest visiting and it seems they were trying to make the most of it.

30.1 degrees this morning with the temperature dropping to 29.0 at noon and as of this writing the temperature is 17.3.

Cold and slightly overcast all day.

The tracks going by me were made by an unidentified animal. It appears to be some sort of dog species, I am assuming coyote.

I will post my next report tomorrow.

The weather was 16.2 this morning and it managed to refreeze the melting snow making it very crunchy sounding. Reached a high of 36.9 and as of this writing the temperature is 30.0.

Overcast and hazy all day. The family set up bar-b-que grill by the side of the house and make quick dashes outside all day to check the food they were cooking. They also had company over later this evening. I could here music coming from the house all evening.

Other then that truly not much to report.

I will post my next report tomorrow.
